So who am I personally? I am happily married to a wonderful husband who said, “I do” 23 years ago. We have two beautiful teenage daughters that inspire me daily. I am a pet owner of a very spoiled rescued pooch named Ringo. I live in Ferndale and am an active community member. I was born in Seattle and I have lived many other places but I absolutely love Washington State. It holds so much within its beauty. Today I love hiking, kayaking, gardening, live music, learning, architecture, reading, teaching, and living to the fullest. This beautiful state affords me all that and much more. I just recently went to Whistler with my family and picked up a pair of skis for the first time in many years. My daughters snowboard but I stuck to my old high school ways with skis. What fun! The fact that the Winter Olympics were just here is pretty amazing!

We live between two fabulous international cities: Seattle, Washington and Vancouver, British Columbia. Some local events are: Sea Fair in Seattle, Ski to Sea in Bellingham, the Tulip Festival in Mount Vernon, Mount Baker Blues Festival in Deming, The Scottish Highland Games in Ferndale, the Lynden Northwest Fair, The Anacortes Arts Festival, La Conner Yacht Sales Boat Show, and so much more. There is live music, plays and ferryboat rides that may include whale watching. Victoria, BC is accessible from The Bellingham Ferry Terminal and the boat captain has amazing history on the San Juan Islands that he shares on the scenic ride. If you want a wonderful vacation on a smaller island close to Bellingham look to Lummi Island. You can also catch a boat to Alaska from The Bellingham Port or park your own boat in the Bellingham Marina. We have Western Washington University and the University of Washington that make a day trip just to walk around the campus as well as local sporting events. The Seahawks made us proud and we expect them to continue. The new Mariner’s Safeco Field is filled with fans on a regular basis during their season. We really are blessed to be where we are to enjoy our lives to the fullest.

Who I am also reflects the passion I hold for community. I love Mother Teresa’s philosophies: Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor... Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting.- Mother Teresa. We need to honor, respect and nourish new and old ideas. I think community is a strength that is so powerful when brought together for a cause. I respect our land. This land is ours to preserve and nourish. We only have one planet so we need to cherish it. The people are the unified strength to do just that. We are diverse in our wonderful Washington State. I believe in working together in unity with all our varying ideas. Being informed and educated is of great importance to me.

I went on a mission trip to Mexicali, Mexico with my oldest daughter. We were changed and touched by the work being done there. I also went to New Orleans, Louisiana with my youngest daughter to rebuild homes due to the Katrina destruction. You can’t even imagine the damage still weighing the city but the hope of the people was life changing. I am a Red Cross volunteer because I felt a need to do so after that particular trip. Hearing the stories from the folks who so desperately wanted a chance to tell it made me feel the need to do more so I became involved with Habitat For Humanity. I serve at the local level on our Realtor Association Habitat For Humanity Committee as well as at the national level with the National Association of Realtors. We took a team of 20 Washington Realtors for a week to Louisiana to build a Habitat Home. I have done hospice care and been involved with the homeless. I truly believe in giving back and giving daily in any manner I am shown the need. This world needs compassion and I am practicing a bit at what that looks like in my daily life. The amazing thing is that my life is blessed beyond measure because of it!

I hope to get the opportunity to get to know you better by working with you. Please contact me and let me know if I can be of service. It would be an honor and a privilege. I specialize in accomplishing your goals with a smile!
